One of the most frequently asked questions by customers is; “Should I have the carpet Dry Cleaned or Steam Cleaned?” It is an important question and we at Heaven Scent Carpet Cleaning will assess your carpet before advising you on which method is more suitable for your carpet.

The main difference is the amount of water used in the cleaning process. Both systems of carpet cleaning can achieve great results but it depends on the type and condition of the carpet and how quickly you want the carpet to be completely dry.

Firstly, the carpets are pre-vacuumed to remove the dry soil with a top of the range industrial vacuum cleaner. The carpet is then sprayed with a specifically formulated dry carpet cleaning shampoo that facilitates the breaking down of dirt in the carpet. The carpet is then agitated with a brush before using a high-speed rotary machine with pre heated absorbent pads which remove stains and dirt. This process leaves the carpet clean and usually totally dry in an hour or two.

Again, the carpets are vacuumed to remove the dry soil with a top of the range industrial vacuum cleaner and then pre-sprayed with a shampoo specifically formulated for this type of cleaning. This method works by injecting hot water into the carpet under high pressure and extracting the dirty water out. As this process uses more water, the carpets are a little bit wetter and will require up to 12 hours to dry.
